And the main event of the 2018 German Open Championships has now concluded. What an unexpected evening in more ways than one can recall! The audience was enraptured last night by the performances of the DanceSport elite. The final was a true must watch, filmed beautifully. The live stream truly conveyed a wonderful experience that revealed the energy of what the audience in the Beethoven Hall of the Kultur & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle felt at the moment of the live dancing. It was quite surreal.

The fourth leg of the Standard GrandSlam series has just come to a conclusion – and what an unforgettable evening it was indeed. The Beethoven Hall of the Kultur & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle was on its feet last night for the top Ballroom dancers of the World DanceSport Federation who have come to compete at this prestigious German Open Championship. The fourth leg of the WDSF Latin Grand Slam series is arriving shortly, and we all get to take part. This Saturday, August 11th, 2018, FloDance will be capturing live the excitement of the German Open Championship (GOC) of Stuttgart, Germany. With 292 couples registered thus far, this is one of the strongest and largest events hosted by the World DanceSport Federation - so large that the Latin Grand Slam lasts two days! The first round is hosted on Friday the 10th in order to make sure that all athletes get to perform and be properly evaluated. Who should we keep our eye out for this Saturday as the competition narrows?

The German Open Championship of Stuttgart, Germany is hosting three World Rock ‘n’ Roll Confederation (WRRC) World Championships, and they are all Boogie Woogie. On Friday, August 10th, the Junior and Senior World Championships will commence. We have the pleasure and ability to watch live the Main Series on Saturday, where the bulk of competition lies. Anyone from the age of sixteen years old can compete in this age category.
Another incredible event has come to an end at this year’s German Open Championship. The WDSF PD Standard Grand Prix came rolling in, just as those crashing thunderstorms did. Sadly, it seems that the entire town of Stuttgart lost access with internet, and as a result, there were difficulties streaming live the events taking place. Nonetheless, we can certainly take a look at how the competition played out in the end for the WDSF Standard Professionals.

What a night! The Latin Super Grand Prix of the WDSF Professional Division has come to a close here in Stuttgart, Germany. With a few surprises, the audience was kept on their toes all the way throughout the entire event, and it was very clear the hunger that a particular few of the competitors exuberated out on the dance floor. The German Open Championships have officially kicked off.

Drum rolls please as we soon introduce the participants of the prestigious WDSF Standard Grand Slam into the arena of the Beethoven Hall of the Kultur & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle. Stuttgart, Germany is the locale that all dancers dream of attending, the place to show off all of the hard work put into the passion and lifestyle that they all believe in, dream, eat, and sleep. It will be a battle like no other.
The WDSF PD Professional Latin Super Grand Prix of Stuttgart, Germany, is approaching us this upcoming Tuesday, August the 7. Fifty-two couples from 19 countries have registered thus far, including previous three-time WDSF World Latin Champions, Gabriele Goffredo and Anna Matus. Gabriele and Anna turned professional February of this year after an extensive career in the WDSF Amateur Division.

The 32nd year celebration of the German Open Championship is soon to commence this coming Tuesday, August 7th, 2018. 5 days of exhilarating competition hosted until Saturday the 11th, various competitive events will take place simultaneously throughout the Kultur & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle and the Maritim Hotel of Stuttgart, Germany, the grand arenas hosting this prestigious event year after year. The Kultur & Kongresszentrum Liederhalle will host events in the Beethoven Hall and Hegel Hall while the Maritim Hotel will host events in its Alte Reithalle (translated as the Old Riding Hall). The Beethoven Hall will be holding the WDSF PD Standard and Latin Professional Super Grands Prix as well as the WDSF Standard and Latin Grand Slams. This is the heart of the competitive arena, where the orchestra chimes in during the quarter-final, live music filling the hall and sending butterflies throughout each and every dancer. The essence of having live music to perform to during a competition is an inexplicable feeling. Any audience member, whether watching from the stands or watching with us here through FloDance live streaming, will notice the effect on the presentations of the couples. Music is everything to dancers. Live music especially fills up the soul and truly allows the performers to live in each and every moment, to show what they love to do more than anything in the world - dance.
